Festive Hotel, Resort World Staycation Review - Day 2

Festive Hotel, Resort World Staycation Review - Day 2

Rise and shine! It's Day 2 of our staycation at Festive Hotel, Resort World! We had a good sleep, the bed is so comfy. After washing up, we're ready to go for our breakfast at Slappy Cakes, which is just next to the Universal Studio.

We're ready to spend the full day at Universal Studios and load up on bread for our tea breaks as well. No admission tickets are required for children under the age of 4.

At Slappy Cakes, you can choose your own batter and draw your own pancakes at a really reasonable price. Even though Sticky Bean got bored after awhile, the Adults definitely had fun drawing our pancakes.
They are pretty generous with their servings as well.

A groupfie! Today we have Sticky Bean's favourite Uncle Shian joining us!

We're so blessed that Uncle Shian came to join us today, if not Daddy and I will have to take turn on the rides again and it kind of sucks taking rides all alone.

We were lucky to catch the Sesame Street show on our way out at 5pm

You really need a full day at Universal Studios. We're lucky that Sticky Bean met the min. height requirement for all of the kiddy rides so we took all of them. Though the weather was a little warm that day, she had so much fun and so did we.
Boy did a visit to Universal Studios drained all of our energy. So much such that Mr. Keir had a fever the evening. We were also just too exhausted to go anywhere for dinner, we ate cup noodles in the room instead.
Sticky Bean didn't mind hanging out in the room of course. She had a splashing good time in the bathtub and I had a good soak as well!

This marks the end of our Festive Hotel, Resort World Staycation Review day 2.

Our 7 Day 6 Nights Taiwan Child Friendly Itinerary Preview

Here's a preview of our Taiwan Child Friendly Itinerary for our trip to Taiwan earlier this month in May 2017. You can click on the respective days for a detailed post.

And so we finally embarked on our journey to Taiwan onboard Singapore Airlines! Thanks to Singapore Airlines 70th Anniversary promo, we decided to splurge a little on the air tickets. The air tickets cost about $1,440 for 2 adults and 1 3.5 yr old.

We spent a total of 7 days 6 nights in Taiwan altogether. But in order to make our Taiwan trip more child-friendly, relaxing,  and to cut down on travelling time, we merely visited the North part of Taiwan primarily - Hsinchu, Yilan and Taipei.

It's never easy travelling with a young one, hence we should not be too ambitious when it comes to planning your Taiwan Child Friendly itinerary. Good thing is, Mr Keir and I have always preferred a chillax itinerary. We're not the type of tourist who loves to jam pack the full day and visit 101 attractions in a trip.

We engag…

Taiwan Kids friendly Accommodation with slides - not your usual list!

And so from a mere idea of bringing Sticky Bean with us to Taiwan, this idea was put into action with Singapore Airlines 70th Anniversary promotion where you get to pay only $70 for a child's ticket! Though it's not exactly the cheapest option for flying to Taiwan, we thought to pay a little more for better service and not to mention safety since it will be Sticky Bean's first time traveling on a relatively longer flight. Her first plane ride was a really short one to KL, a mere 1 hour away.

If she's manageable on the flight, we can then consider budget airlines such as Scoot or even Jetstar for our subsequent travels.

So why Taiwan?
There are plenty of reasons for our choice other than both Mr. Keir and myself love Taiwan for the food and hospitality. I'm sure you may have come across Awesome kids friendly accommodation with slides and other themed rooms in Taiwan that are trending in facebook. That was one of the many reasons why we want to go Taiwan too!

Alright …

The Miscarriage: : the Mini Confinement after Miscarriage

When it comes to confinement following a miscarriage, there are 101 versions of old wives tales to confuse you.
There're people who say (such as doctors and gynaes), since the pregnancy period is short, less than 3 months, it didn't affect our body much so we actually do not need to do confinement.
But my gynae did mention that of course i can try to avoid the cold, icy stuffs still.

And then there will be the extreme ones who'd think going through a miscarriage is more damaging to a woman's body than giving birth itself and hence one must observe the rules of confinement and the best is to do it for 2 weeks.
But think about this, where on earth to get 2 weeks mc? we are only entitled 14 days mc a year leh...

And then there's the reasonable ones and I'm blessed that both my mother and mother-in-law and even my brother's mother-in-law, who runs a chinese medical hall (TCM) belongs to this group.
So naturally, i fall into this group as well.
According to TCM …
