Maternity Leave / Rights in Singapore by MOM

Recently was toying with the thoughts of changing job. Then came the biggest and most common worries of most women trying to conceive when it comes to landing in a new job and getting pregnant shortly after you join the company. Seems like it's a common worry among us that the company may either terminate us or we may not be eligible for 16 weeks maternity leave required by our government. So I did a bit of research and decided to share this here. (also serve as a note to self for future reference *grinz*) For those of us who worry when we sign the letter of appointment and already realize your are a few weeks pregnant, no worries at all. As MOM states that as long as you have worked for the company for at least 3 calendar months or 90 days, we are entitled to paid maternity leave of 16 weeks. The Miscarriage: Going Green

These days, whenever i see babies or friends or even strangers with their babies, i grow Green...Green with ENVY... Can't help it but I'd start to imagine if our little bun didn't lose its heartbeat how will life be like now? If Lil bun is still in my tummy healthily, I'll be at week 19 now and we will more or less now if it's a baby boy or a baby girl... There're so many babies and mothers around recently, be it out in public or even on facebook, seeing people post cute daily lives photos of their little ones... Sometimes I'd wonder, why is it that they can have such a smooth pregnancy even though some of them were unwanted pregnancy (looking at the shot gun marriages on the rise recently). I'm turning into a green monster..............=( Anyway the good news is, my AF (aka Auntie Florence) is finally here! and that's 8 weeks after my D&C procedure, that means we can start trying to for a baby again after AF is gone
