DIY Toddler's Activities: Just a Simple Carton Box

This is super easy and definitely uses recycled materials.
Toddlers have this knack for carton boxes and sitting in it for some reasons.
So before we throw the carton box away, we'd take let Sticky Bean have some free play with it.

In this case,we let her free play with the empty box before putting in a few colourful plastic balls and she had a ball of time climbing in and out of the box, sitting inside, sitting on top of it..etc.

Age attempted: 19 mths
Duration entertained: 30 minutes or possibly more
Will I try it againe? Definitely Yes!

Kid-Friendly Accommodation with slides in Tainan and Kaohsiung

Taiwan is such a kid's friendly place and one of the top travel destinations Singaporeans. Easy communication, a fantastic array of food with its bustling night markets, lots of kid-friendly attractions and the only country I know of with an amazing number of kids friendly accommodation !  By this definition, I'm referring to accommodations with slides, ball pit and lots of play feature for kids.  Totally the very reasons why we love Taiwan so much, we visited Taiwan in May 2017, did an Okinawa-Taiwan trip in March 2018 and this time around, we intended to fly directly to Kaohsiung in November 2018. Our previous trips to Taiwan has been saturated at just the North Taiwan and near the outskirts of Taipei, as we already have intentions to fly directly to Kaohsiung, South Taiwan should we want to visit the southern part of Taiwan. And so that got me started with another Kid-friendly accommodation with slides in both Kaohsiung and Tainan. I was astounded by ...

Taiwan Kids friendly Accommodation with slides - not your usual list!

And so from a mere idea of bringing Sticky Bean with us to Taiwan, this idea was put into action with Singapore Airlines 70th Anniversary promotion where you get to pay only $70 for a child's ticket! Though it's not exactly the cheapest option for flying to Taiwan, we thought to pay a little more for better service and not to mention safety since it will be Sticky Bean's first time traveling on a relatively longer flight. Her first plane ride was a really short one to KL, a mere 1 hour away. If she's manageable on the flight, we can then consider budget airlines such as Scoot or even Jetstar for our subsequent travels. So why Taiwan? There are plenty of reasons for our choice other than both Mr. Keir and myself love Taiwan for the food and hospitality. I'm sure you may have come across Awesome kids friendly accommodation with slides and other themed rooms in Taiwan that are trending in facebook. That was one of the many reasons why we want to go Taiwan too! ...

Kaohsiung Kids Friendly Itinerary Day 2: Cijin Island > Hoya Resort > Youth Night Market

Day 2: Cijin Island > Hoya Resort > Youth Night Market Accommodation: Hoya Resort Hote Kaohsiung Cijin island is located relatively near to Hoya Resort. So today, we catered most of the day exploring just Cijin island. Remember, when you travel with a young kid, you get slowed down so we like to take it light and easy with just one or two attractions a day. Boy, are we glad we did that, by the time we left Cijin Island, it was close to 5 pm. - Left at 11+ am for Cijin Island via LRT (40-45 minutes) - Explore Cijin Island, cheap seafood, beautiful island with a bustling street market (4 hrs) - Back to Hoya Resort to freshen up via taxi (30 minutes) - Dinner & fun again at Youth Night Market After a hearty breakfast at Hoya Resort Hotel, we took the LRT to Sizhiwan station . Initially, I thought that the Gushan Ferry Terminal is right at the LRT station so we were a bit lost when we got to the LRT station. It was later that we discover we have to take a taxi to Gus...
