Perth Self Drive Kids Friendly Itinerary Day 3: Perth > Adventure Scape> Bunbury> Busselton Jetty> Margaret River
It's gonna be a long day for us today, we're embarking on our second but longest road trip to Margaret River. (Read about our first road trip in Okinawa here)
Even though it's just a 3.5-hour drive from Perth to Margaret River but I am the only driver for the trip...so............
Thankfully, the Mitsubishi ASX from Bayswater Car Rental is such an awesome car and we totally enjoyed the ride. Check out how we have an hourly stopover and some playground fun for Sticky Bean en route to Margaret River.
Perth was surprisingly super kids friendly and filled with lots of fun playground for kids!
- Check out of Crown Plaza Perth
- 1-hour drive to Adventurescape playground (Toilet, supermarket nearby)
- 1-hour drive to Bunbury City Centre Macdonald (with playground), quick shop at a hypermart there
- 15 minutes drive to Bunbury Wildlife Park
- 40 minutes drive to Busselton Jetty (awesome sand playground)
- Check-in at Prideaus of Margaret River for 3 nights
Adventurescape playground - an awesome playground for kids! They even have flying fox here as well. The good thing is, there're clean toilets and a supermarket too. Making this a perfect stopover.
2nd stopover - Bunbury City Centre 1 hour drive from Adventure scape playground
There's a playground within the Macdonalds and hypermart nearby. Mr Keir is excited with the you that came with their Happy Meal.
Bunbury Wildlife Park
From our lunch stopover above, it's merely a 15 minutes drive to Bunbury Wildlife centre. It's not a big place so you'll probably take an hour max at this place. You can purchase animal feed to feed the animals. Mainly birds and kangaroos. Though it's a relatively small wildlife centre, it's Sticky Bean's first close up encounter with Kangaroos.
The thing about Perth, they are so kids friendly and there are playgrounds everywhere! It felt as though we're on a playground hunt throughout Perth.
Here's an awesome playground right outside Bunbury Wildife Centre. Wished we could spend there a tad longer but we still have to get to Magaret Drive before dark.
Love that their playgrounds cater to all ages and the fact that they have lower monkey bars for younger children to attempt. Unlike the vast majority of monkey bars found in Singapore playground which is way too high for younger children to attempt.
Sticky Bean mastered her monkey bar skills in Perth.
Busselton Jetty (awesome sand playground)
We're finally at Busselton Jetty. No we did not take the tram right to the jetty, we simply lingered around the playground area. There's this awesome sand playground right here!
Perth is indeed a playground heaven for kids.
Finally, we've reached Prideaus safely. Our accommodation for the next 3 nights.
Check out this awesome accommodation which is 2 bedroom double-storey and it comes with a huge Jacuzzi tub, a porch and fully equipped kitchen.
Bedroom 2 - they provide baby cots too |
A perfect place to just enjoy the weather with a cuppa |
Bedroom 1 which we slept in |
The Jacuzzi tub room which is as big as the bedroom! |
A living and dining area with fully equipped kitchen |
aaah. don't you love this place? |
Quick Review of our Self Drive Perth Kids Friendly Itinerary Day 3
It was surprisingly an easy drive even though it's my longest road trip to date. Love the frequent stopovers we have so that I don't have to drive for more than 1.5 hours per stretch. We'll probably do the same again if we were to come back.
Very significant Information for us, I have think the representation of this Information is actually superb one. This is my first visit to your site. Hdb Renovation Contractor Singapore
