Festive Hotel, Resort World Staycation Review - Day 2

Festive Hotel, Resort World Staycation Review - Day 2

Rise and shine! It's Day 2 of our staycation at Festive Hotel, Resort World! We had a good sleep, the bed is so comfy. After washing up, we're ready to go for our breakfast at Slappy Cakes, which is just next to the Universal Studio.

We're ready to spend the full day at Universal Studios and load up on bread for our tea breaks as well. No admission tickets are required for children under the age of 4.

At Slappy Cakes, you can choose your own batter and draw your own pancakes at a really reasonable price. Even though Sticky Bean got bored after awhile, the Adults definitely had fun drawing our pancakes.
They are pretty generous with their servings as well.

A groupfie! Today we have Sticky Bean's favourite Uncle Shian joining us!

We're so blessed that Uncle Shian came to join us today, if not Daddy and I will have to take turn on the rides again and it kind of sucks taking rides all alone.

We were lucky to catch the Sesame Street show on our way out at 5pm

You really need a full day at Universal Studios. We're lucky that Sticky Bean met the min. height requirement for all of the kiddy rides so we took all of them. Though the weather was a little warm that day, she had so much fun and so did we.
Boy did a visit to Universal Studios drained all of our energy. So much such that Mr. Keir had a fever the evening. We were also just too exhausted to go anywhere for dinner, we ate cup noodles in the room instead.
Sticky Bean didn't mind hanging out in the room of course. She had a splashing good time in the bathtub and I had a good soak as well!

This marks the end of our Festive Hotel, Resort World Staycation Review day 2.

BTO Keys Collection and BTO Door Opening Ceremony

And so after a long 4 years wait, our BTO is finally ready for keys collection. To be honest we totally forgot about out BTO and was pleasantly surprised to receive an SMS from HDB to inform us of our BTO keys collection date. That was when we frantically tried to hunt for an ID. Ok to cut the story short, here's what happened on the BTO keys collection day as well as what we did for our "BTO Door Opening Ceremony". There really wasn't an official BTO door opening ritual or ceremony in fengshui. I guess this is just a Singapore custom. Though we do not have a religion, in particular, we just did it for an ease of mind. Love the  living room view from our 30th storey BTO view from our Service Yard BTO Key Collection Process at HDB Time took: less than an hour It was a very straightforward and easy process. Here's what you need to prepare, assuming that you are taking the loan from HDB. Identity cards Marriage certificate if you are buying

Taiwan Kids friendly Accommodation with slides - not your usual list!

And so from a mere idea of bringing Sticky Bean with us to Taiwan, this idea was put into action with Singapore Airlines 70th Anniversary promotion where you get to pay only $70 for a child's ticket! Though it's not exactly the cheapest option for flying to Taiwan, we thought to pay a little more for better service and not to mention safety since it will be Sticky Bean's first time traveling on a relatively longer flight. Her first plane ride was a really short one to KL, a mere 1 hour away. If she's manageable on the flight, we can then consider budget airlines such as Scoot or even Jetstar for our subsequent travels. So why Taiwan? There are plenty of reasons for our choice other than both Mr. Keir and myself love Taiwan for the food and hospitality. I'm sure you may have come across Awesome kids friendly accommodation with slides and other themed rooms in Taiwan that are trending in facebook. That was one of the many reasons why we want to go Taiwan too!

Our 7 Day 6 Nights Taiwan Child Friendly Itinerary Preview

Here's a preview of our Taiwan Child Friendly Itinerary for our trip to Taiwan earlier this month in May 2017. You can click on the respective days for a detailed post. And so we finally embarked on our journey to Taiwan onboard Singapore Airlines! Thanks to Singapore Airlines 70th Anniversary promo, we decided to splurge a little on the air tickets. The air tickets cost about $1,440 for 2 adults and 1 3.5 yr old. We spent a total of 7 days 6 nights in Taiwan altogether. But in order to make our Taiwan trip more child-friendly, relaxing,  and to cut down on travelling time, we merely visited the North part of Taiwan primarily - Hsinchu, Yilan and Taipei. It's never easy travelling with a young one, hence we should not be too ambitious when it comes to planning your Taiwan Child Friendly itinerary. Good thing is,  Mr  Keir and I have always preferred a chillax itinerary. We're not the type of tourist who loves to jam pack the full day and visit 101 attracti
