Kaohsiung Kids Friendly Itinerary Day 7: Fun Bus > E-Da Theme Park > E-Da Outlet Mall

Day 7: Fun Bus > E-Da Theme Park > E-Da Outlet Mall

E-Da Theme Park Review - Highly recommended
We spent the whole of this day at E-Da Theme Park and its outlet mall. We got to know a very friendly driver who picked us from Zuoying HSR hence we engaged his service again to send us to and back from E-Da Theme Park. The ride cost $20 only and helps us reserve energy for the theme park instead.

E-Da Theme Park was highly raved by a Taiwanese friend cum local guide. In fact, he was the very reason we decided to embark on a journey to Southern Taiwan - Kaohsiung and we didn't regret it a single bit. In fact, we prefer Kaohsiung to Taipei as the people are a lot friendlier and it's less crowded.

We went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded except for some school groups. In fact, it was more crowded in the morning and the park was pretty empty after 1 pm. So you can consider getting their afternoon tickets at a discount. They do have a discounted ticket for entries after 1:30 pm.
We purchase our tickets via Klook. In fact, we purchase 90% of our attraction tickets overseas via Klook.

I didn't manage to take a photo at the entrance since Sticky Bean was too excited to rush into the park.

You can see her zooming past the photo booth...grrrr...

Right upon entry, you can see their famous mini Santorini building, which looks exactly like Santorini.

Looking at the decoration, E-Da Theme Park is probably a Greek-themed theme park. Look at this huge Trojan Horse.

We love how the rides for the young ones are placed in an indoor, air-conditioned building. Woohoo bonus point to that.
They have at least 5 levels of rides for the young ones. We easily spent more than half a day at this building alone.

Sticky Bean can never say no to a carousel.

There's this fireman ride where you get to put out "fire" with real water.

Sticky Bean waiting patiently for her turn - pretty rare to see the patient side of her

Look! A parade. The performers spontaneously asked for photos

A very entertaining performance which captivated Sticky Bean. They even invite children up to dance after the performance.

There she is, going up to the parade square

A driving course which supposedly issues kids driving license as well.

I can't resist taking a photo of the kid-friendly cubicle here.  You can use the toilet side by side with your child. lol

This is no normal ride that goes round and round or up and down. It bounces crazily and was Sticky Bean's favourite ride.

 A boat paddling pool ride.
As it is a weekday they have stipulated opening hours for rides. They kind of alternate them hourly so we just have to stay at the same around and alternate the rides.
Very convenient.

She got to go on this ride thrice in a row without having to exit since there's no Q at all. Another fun run with a slide at the back. Think of it as a water roller coaster.

Most of the rides here are suitable for really young kids, I would say aged 2 to 8. Sticky Bean was 5 and 106 cm and she gets to go on all of the rides here.
Do take nore that for more of the rides, adults are not allowed on the ride as they have a weight limit.

Then we went on an outdoor Balloon Ferris wheel ride.

 A mini viking for kids.

oh yeah, even a bouncy castle too!

We went back to the Santorini area for photo taking on our way out.

After spending 5-6 hours at E-Da Theme Park, it's adults' time to have fun shopping at E-Da outlet just next door.
There were plenty of outlets there and most of the items are at up to 70% discount. We bought quite a bit of stuff there. So do ensure you have ample time to shop.

We arranged for the very friendly driver to pick us up from E-da Theme Park at 7:30 pm and went back to Fun Bus.

Tip #13: Book your tickets via klook online for better deals and if you're going on a weekday, consider the discounted tickets for entry after 1:30 pm. It was pretty crowded with school groups when we reached there in the morning but the crowd subsided after lunch.

Tip #14: You can really spend 1 full day here! They have a building filled with indoor kids rides. Then it's shopping time for the adults at the outlet malls, there are several branded outlets here and the prices are so irresistible.

Quick Review Kaohsiung Child-Friendly Itinerary Day 7: An awesome day, definitely one of the most enjoyable day here for both adults and child. A Must go!!!

BTO Keys Collection and BTO Door Opening Ceremony

And so after a long 4 years wait, our BTO is finally ready for keys collection. To be honest we totally forgot about out BTO and was pleasantly surprised to receive an SMS from HDB to inform us of our BTO keys collection date. That was when we frantically tried to hunt for an ID. Ok to cut the story short, here's what happened on the BTO keys collection day as well as what we did for our "BTO Door Opening Ceremony". There really wasn't an official BTO door opening ritual or ceremony in fengshui. I guess this is just a Singapore custom. Though we do not have a religion, in particular, we just did it for an ease of mind. Love the  living room view from our 30th storey BTO view from our Service Yard BTO Key Collection Process at HDB Time took: less than an hour It was a very straightforward and easy process. Here's what you need to prepare, assuming that you are taking the loan from HDB. Identity cards Marriage certificate if you are buying

Our Muji Home Reno Journey | Electrical works and Aircon Trunking

Before embarking on our Muji Home renovation journey, I never knew that the bulk of the work comes from the electrical wiring and the importance of electrical works. In fact, we totally overlooked that part. How many sockets needed and where to place them. Before we selected our ID, we met one of them onsite and the ID just went on asking us how many sockets and lighting point we need in this room, where we need the socket to be located at ...bla bla bla all of these during our first on-site meeting. Trust us, we never had such a pressurising consultation before. Tips for you A lesson learnt from our experience, perhaps before you even meet your IDs or contractors, spend some time in your BTO and visualise how you want to use the space and place your furniture. For us, we thought we can come to that much later when the renovation is almost complete but boy we are so wrong about that. You should already know how many sockets you need and where you want it to be placed from the be

The Miscarriage: : the Mini Confinement after Miscarriage

When it comes to confinement following a miscarriage, there are 101 versions of old wives tales to confuse you. There're people who say (such as doctors and gynaes), since the pregnancy period is short, less than 3 months, it didn't affect our body much so we actually do not need to do confinement. But my gynae did mention that of course i can try to avoid the cold, icy stuffs still. And then there will be the extreme ones who'd think going through a miscarriage is more damaging to a woman's body than giving birth itself and hence one must observe the rules of confinement and the best is to do it for 2 weeks. But think about this, where on earth to get 2 weeks mc? we are only entitled 14 days mc a year leh... And then there's the reasonable ones and I'm blessed that both my mother and mother-in-law and even my brother's mother-in-law, who runs a chinese medical hall (TCM) belongs to this group. So naturally, i fall into this group as well. According
